Ancient Railway Station is a lovely guest house created thanks to
the restoration of the narrow gauge railway station line which linked
Palermo to Corleone (abandoned in 1954). It is located near the homonymous
village, where Ferdinand III of the House of Bourbon hunted towards
the end of the XIX century; as testimonial the Real Casina, projected
by Venanzio Marvuglia. |

Ficuzza is a small village,
not far from Palermo, plunged in the forest of the same name, that
extends for 4.000 hectares from the base of Rocca Busambra and Rocca
Ramusa. Ficuzza is famous thanks to King Ferdinand III who loved
this country-side and built the Casino di Caccia, and the Casino
Reale which hides many secret underpasses. |
